PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Hello Warrane Families!

There's a real buzz of excitement around the school today as we get ready for this evening’s Halloween Disco! Students are welcome to come dressed in their spooky best or simply in casual clothes—whatever they feel comfortable in. Entry is just a gold coin donation, and there’ll be some sweet treats available at no cost to families.

A big shoutout to our amazing Parents and Friends Association, along with Leissa, our School Business Manager, for organising this fantastic event. So much planning and effort goes into making events like this happen, and we’re incredibly grateful for their dedication.

The disco is more than just a fun night out—it’s a wonderful opportunity to bring our school community together and strengthen our students’ sense of belonging. We can't wait to see everyone dancing, laughing, and enjoying the festivities!

Water Safety & Awareness Lessons

Our Early Childhood classes kicked off the term with Water Safety and Awareness sessions. These lessons are especially important here in Tasmania, with our beautiful but often unpredictable coastlines, rivers, and lakes. We're proud to equip our young learners with these essential life skills early on.

PAT Assessments Underway

This week, students across the school have begun their Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT) in Reading and Mathematics. These assessments help our teachers understand what each student already knows and where their learning should head next. It’s a valuable tool that supports personalised learning for every child.

Wishing everyone a safe and spook-tacular evening at the disco!

Warm regards,
Sarah Hoban
